What Will you do

  • Research and implement cutting edge ML and LLM methods tailored to litigation workflows
  • Build evaluation systems that ensure accuracy, correct citations and reliable reasoning in legal contexts
  • Work closely with engineering and product to bring scientific ideas into production for real legal use cases
  • Develop rigorous measurement frameworks to analyse failure modes and improve model behaviour
  • Establish research standards and best practices as a core part of the founding team

You Are a Great Fit if

  • You have 5 or more years of classical machine learning experience including supervised and unsupervised learning, optimisation and statistical modelling
  • You have practical knowledge of transformer architectures and key LLM methods including fine tuning, prompting and retrieval augmented approaches
  • You have a strong grasp of Evals and structured error analysis and know how to diagnose and reduce model failures
  • You write clean and maintainable research code in Python, ideally with PyTorch
  • You are energised by 0 to 1 discovery work and building new scientific capabilities
  • You have either published ML research or contributed to high impact ML systems in production

Nice to Have

  • Experience in legal tech or other domains where correctness and auditability matter
  • Experience with alignment or human feedback methods
  • Deep statistical knowledge
  • Early stage startup experience
