About Litmas AI

Litmas AI is an AI-powered litigation management platform built for litigators. It assists with legal research, motion drafting, evidence organization, and case analysis, helping attorneys save hours of routine work while maintaining legal-grade accuracy. Unlike generic AI tools, Litmas AI connects your case documents, evidence, and verified case law into a single end-to-end litigation workflow where every output is fully sourced and traceable.

Litmas AI was built by practicing litigators. Our co-founder and CEO, Jason H. Weber, spent 14 years as a commercial litigator before building Litmas AI. That practitioner background shaped every feature in the platform. This isn’t a generic AI tool adapted for legal work — it was designed from the ground up around how litigation actually works, with input from practicing attorneys at every step of development.

Litmas AI is designed for litigation-focused attorneys, in-house counsel, and insurance defense teams seeking a faster, more reliable way to research and draft legal documents. Our primary customers are small and mid-sized firms, including contingency fee practices such as personal injury, commercial litigation, insurance defense, debt collection, and family law. We also work with larger litigation teams that want faster, more consistent motion drafting.

Litmas AI serves attorneys in all 50 U.S. states, covering both federal and state jurisdictions. The platform is actively expanding coverage and deepening its library of litigation documents across all jurisdictions.

Both, and more. Litmas AI combines legal research, motion drafting, evidence organization, and case mapping into a single integrated workflow. Traditional tools force you to switch between separate platforms for research, drafting, and document management. Litmas AI eliminates that context-switching by connecting everything in one place. You can research, organize evidence, and draft from the same case file without toggling between disconnected systems.

Litmas AI was built by litigators and trained exclusively on verified case law and litigation-specific data, never on general internet content. Generic AI tools like ChatGPT are designed to be helpful and agreeable, which is dangerous in litigation. They will fabricate case citations to support your position, agree with flawed legal theories, and never push back on weak arguments. Litmas AI supports complete litigation workflows, allows attorneys to guide the AI step-by-step through their reasoning, and validates every citation before you see it.

No. Litmas AI enhances their work by automating repetitive research and formatting, so your team can focus on strategy and analysis.

No. Litmas AI handles manual, repetitive work so your team can focus on strategy, client relationships, and substantive legal thinking. Junior attorneys who use tools like Litmas AI can handle more complex work earlier in their careers.

Accuracy & Reliability

Litmas AI cross-verifies every citation using verified U.S. court opinions to ensure all references are real, relevant, and reliable. The platform uses a dual-layer citation validation system that checks every case and statute against trusted legal sources before it reaches you. If a citation cannot be verified, it gets removed.

No. Litmas AI was engineered with strict multi-step verification and guardrails that eliminate hallucinations. Every output is checked against verified legal databases before it reaches you. This was the single most important design decision in building the platform.

Litmas AI references publicly available legal databases, verified U.S. court opinions, and uploaded case documents from your workspace. The platform does not rely on general internet content or unverified data. Every output is traceable to its source.

Yes. Litmas AI provides pincite citations for every fact and case law reference it discusses. You can click through to confirm the validity of any output instantly without needing to toggle between screens or open separate research platforms.

We hear this constantly, and it’s the reason Litmas AI exists. Litmas AI was built by a litigator who experienced those same frustrations. The platform was purpose-built for the specific demands of litigation: accuracy, traceability, and outputs you can actually file. Every citation goes through dual-layer validation. We encourage you to book a demo and see it work on a real case.

The platform targets industry-standard uptime of 99.9 percent or higher. Infrastructure monitoring, automated backups, and redundancy ensure your cases and documents remain accessible at all times.

Litmas AI’s case law database is updated on a monthly basis to ensure attorneys have access to current legal authority and decisions.

Comparisons, Ethics & Professional Responsibility

Traditional research platforms are powerful research tools, but they were not built for end-to-end litigation workflows. They don’t organize your evidence, map facts to elements of your claims, or draft motions from your case file. Litmas AI combines research, evidence organization, and drafting into a single workflow with validated outputs. Many customers use Litmas AI alongside Westlaw or Lexis.

Many AI-assisted legal tools provide general chat experiences or focus on isolated tasks. Litmas AI is built specifically around litigation workflows, connecting your case documents, evidence, and case law into a single drafting pipeline. Every output is fully sourced and designed for use in active cases. Litmas AI’s dual-layer citation validation addresses the hallucination problem that users of other platforms frequently report.

Lexis AI is a general AI layer built on top of an existing research platform. Litmas AI was purpose-built for litigation from the ground up, offering deeper case-specific context, evidence organization, case mapping, and integrated motion drafting workflows.

The platform is purpose-built for the specific demands of litigation: accuracy, traceability, and outputs you can actually file. We encourage you to book a demo and see it work on a real case.

Litmas AI takes a conservative approach to AI, prioritizing accuracy, transparency, and ethical alignment. Because every output is fully sourced with inline citations and validated case law, you can verify everything before using it. The platform is designed to support your professional judgment, not replace it.

Attorneys have been sanctioned for filing documents containing AI-fabricated case citations. This is exactly the problem Litmas AI was built to prevent. Our dual-layer citation validation ensures that every case, statute, and pincite is verified against trusted legal sources before it appears in your output.
